AP Chemistry- A rigorous course that will help prepare students for college level chemistry. Labs are a key component to AP Chemistry and will be done to help reinforce concepts discussed in class. Topics covered in this course include stoichiometry, electrochemistry, thermochemistry, acids and bases and chemical kinetics.
Honors Chemistry- An introductory course in chemistry where students will be challenged and given foundational concepts with regards to chemistry. Topics to be covered include nomenclature, chemical reactions, gas laws, and chemical bonding. Additionally students will be given opportunities to work in groups to complete lab activities.
Physical Science- A course that introduces students to physics and chemistry. This course allows students to determine whether or not they would prefer to take either chemistry or physics in the future. Topics that are covered in this course include motion, forces, energy, naming of compounds, chemical reactions, and acids and bases.
